Dairy is ruining my life

I'm going to warn you from the start that this post is a bit of a rant post on all the rubbish things going on in my life at the moment, so skip this post if you don't want to know.

We all know that I've been trying to avoid the dairy, and I've been pretty good with it. I know that my body can tolerate small amounts of dairy, or at least it used to. I cut out dairy completely and decided to re-introduce it into my diet so that my body isn't completely sensitised to it. Too late!
Dairy that has been diluted down, so for instance the chocolate-y centre inside a Barny Bear (I love them so much!!!) seems to be fine and tolerable.
I have one slice of pizza, or half a bar of Dairy Milk Oreo and all hell breaks loose. Literally.

If you don't know what I'm on about, then let's break it down and go to the basics of lactose intolerance.
Lactose intolerance is when your body can't digest lactose, a sugar normally found in dairy products like milk, cheese, butter etc. FYI: eggs are NOT dairy!!!!
Contrary to popular belief, it can happen at any time, because your body becomes INTOLERANT to it. You're not allergic to lactose, but intolerant to it.
The severity of symptoms varies for every body - some people can tolerate a huge glass of milk before they have symptoms, and for others it could be one small sip.
Symptoms often include flatulence, diarrhoea (ewwwww), bloated stomach and cramps.
See that pharmacy degree has some use!

Now that we have the basics down, let's come back to my situation. Previously I could have half a pizza and huge bar of chocolate before my body started fighting with me. Recently though, it's become a lot harder. I can't eat a slice of pizza, or have some chocolate without feeling like crap a few hours later.
Not only do I get most of the symptoms of lactose intolerance, but for some reason my skin breaks out into a rash and is itchy all the time, and my face becomes all puffy.
I have to force antihistamines down my throat and it's annoying!!!!!!

I hate feeling like this because it really brings my mood down and makes me sad knowing I can't have any comfort food because everything I crave is laden with lactose.

I'm going to go curl up in the foetal position and cry for a bit now.
Till next time
